Penn State Libraries May Limit Cell Phones

By LJ Staff

Student sentiment has prompted the University Faculty Senate at Penn State
University to move toward banning cell phone use from most areas of campus
libraries. A resolution should be in place by the end of next semester, reported
the campus Collegian. The initiative came from the Undergraduate Student
Government Academic Assembly. While a few senators would like to completely ban
cell phones from libraries, most agreed to allow phone use in library
lobbies.
