VTLS Signs Multiple Domestic and International Contracts

By LJ Staff

VTLS has added several national and international customers to its stable of
users. Domestically, the Grolier Club in New York City, the nation’s oldest
society for bibliophiles and graphic arts enthusiasts, has contracted with the
vendor for a Virtua system to support its research library. Founded in 1884, the
library, devoted to the art of the book, now sports a collection of roughly
100,000 volumes, 15,000 book-auction catalogs, and 25,000 electronic monograph
records. On foreign shores, the Thailand Ministry of University Affairs,
Makerere University in Uganda, India’s Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for Women,
Al Ahlia University in Bahrain, the Swiss Federal Administration, and the
Novosibirsk Library Consortium in Russia all have contracted for the
installation of Virtua systems.
