Cleveland PL New State Center for the Book

By LJ Staff

Cleveland Public Library has replaced the State Library of Ohio as the home of the Ohio Center for the Book to promote books, reading, libraries, literacy, and authorship throughout the state. The center won’t have its own room or budget; it will be part of the Main Library’s literature department. The library inaugurated the center by holding workshops on preserving family artifacts, online resources, and oral history. Three more events are scheduled at other libraries for the remainder of 2003.
