Branch Closings Not Blocked in Regina

After going to court, the Friends of the Regina Public Library were stymied in their effort to block the library from closing three branches and the Dunlop Art Gallery. According to the Leader-Post, Queen’s Bench Justice Fred Kovach found no evidence the library board acted improperly, even though the Friends argued that public consultation should have preceded the decision. While a task force was formed by the library for public input, the Friends say the new group can’t stop the closings.
