Dutton has tapped publishing veteran Trena Keating as its new editor-in-chief. She comes to the post from her most recent position as associate publisher of Plume Books and previously was editor-in-chief at Penguin. At Plume, Keating enlarged its program by establishing a current events list including such bestsellers as John Perkins’s Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, and Greg Palast’s The Best Democracy Money Can Buy, as well as humor and lifestyle books like Benrik’s This Book Will Change Your Life and Andy Riley’s The Book of Bunny Suicides.
