I wasn’t able to make the conference this year, but in poring through LJ/SLJ’s ALA news coverage and the photos regularly being uploaded onto LJ’s ALA 2009 Flickr page, I must say—minus the hassle of traveling and the early-morning wake-up calls—it’s rather actually like being there.
My favorite pic so far, of the Oak Park PL winners of the Fifth Annual Bookcart Drill Team World Competition (photographer: Chip Williams):

Yup, it’s a good one!
Hmmmm….I really cant agree with that. There’s nothing like actually being in the exhibit hall, in the presentations and right in the mix of it all. Tweets and twits are one thing but please dont rely on them as a sole source for reporting.
Thanks for featuring a photo of our winning team! We are thrilled to have been awarded first place and with the subsequent recognition in our community. More coverage of our win at http://www.oppl.org/about/news.htm#071409.
