Mary Giunta has been named Director, Social Sciences Libraries, Columbia University, New York; she has served as Acting Director since August 2009. She began her career as a Reference Librarian at Barnard College, part of Columbia, in 1980.

DeLaciea “Lace” Keaton has been named Director, Newton County Library System, Covington, GA, effective June 1, replacing Greg Heid, who is now Director of the Des Moines Public Library. Keaton currently is Director, Okefenokee Regional Library System, Waycross, GA.
Nadine Robinson is retiring from her position as Director, Granville Public Library, OH, after 29 years of service. Her successor is Charles Hansen, who has been Director, Loudonville Public Library, OH, since 2009.

Trish Taylor is retiring after 13 years as Adult Services Division Manager, Santa Clara City Library, CA. During her 40 year-library career, she worked at Shields Library, University of California, Davis; College of Law Library, University of Arizona, Tucson; and the Chicago Public Library.
Tom Simiele, Director, Indian Trails Public Library, Wheeling, IL, since 2009, has resigned. Michael Madden will serve as Interim Director. Madden was Director, Schaumburg Township Library District, IL, for 41 years until his retirement in 2008.
