Abe Murray, a product manager at Google, has reported some interesting numbers about Google eBooks, which was launched about six months ago.
According to Murray:
- There are now more than three million free Google eBooks available in the U.S., compared to more than two million at launch.
- At launch, there were just over 100 independent booksellers selling Google eBooks — now there are more than 250.
- The number of publishers participating has increased from 5,000 at the launch to 7,000. A 40 percent increase in half a year.
