Judging from current trends in mystery and suspense, no place in the world is safe from crime. Mysteries span the globe from Scandinavia to India, new series dive into the near and distant past, police procedurals still walk their beat,  political thrillers hit the campaign trail, and cozies continue to puzzle and comfort.

Our three featured publishers will be presenting their new and forthcoming fall titles, many of which are sure to quicken your patrons’ pulses. You’ll find yourself making notes on which audiobooks and books to match up with the mystery lovers who lurk in both your physical and virtual stacks!

Kate Lyall Grant – Commissioning editor, Severn House Publishers/Creme de la Crime

Edwin Buckhalter – Chairman, Severn House Publishers

Edwin Buckhalter is Chairman of Severn House, a company he founded in 1974. Its emphasis on the public library market comes from his teenage experience of writing out orders from the libraries for his father’s small chain of bookstores – no computers or electronic ordering in those days – and learning everything he could about the importance of service in library supply. And he still reckons he can pack a carton of books better than anyone in the office. Severn House are proud to be one ofALA’s Library Champions donors.
