George Conwell, Director, Hamilton Township Free Public Library, NJ, for the past eight years, has announced his retirement, effective September 1.
Kathy Husser is the new Branch Manager, Ironwood Library, Phoenix Public Library. She comes from Chandler Public Library, AZ, where she was Youth Services Supervisor.
Mary Petro will become Director, North Suburban Public Library District, Roscoe, IL, in September. She currently is Director, Woodstock Public Library District, IL.
Darlene Price has been appointed Director, East Central Georgia Regional Library System, Augusta, effective October 15. She currently is Administrative Librarian, U.S. Air Force Civil Service, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.
Deborah Swaim, a 30-year veteran of Davidson County Public Library System, Lexington, NC, recently retired. She most recently was Branch Manager, Denton Library.
Janice Young, Electronic Resources Librarian, U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, was selected to participate in the 2012 Leadership Pikes Peak Signature Program.
Nina Sydney Ladof, former Director, Camden County Library, Voorhees, NJ, died July 31 at the age of 92.
