Wapner Joins ALA, Chadwick to Advise on Small Libs, and more | Library People News

Megan Ishler Anderson is now Manager of Youth Centers at San Francisco Public Library. She was previously the manager of the library’s Presidio Branch.

Maria Taesil Hudson Carpenter was named City Librarian, Santa Monica Public Library System, CA. She was previously Director of Libraries for the City of Somerville, MA.

Kristi Chadwick was appointed Advisor for Small Libraries for the Massachusetts Library System. She was previously Director of the Emily Williston Memorial Library, Easthampton, MA. She is also a 2014 LJ Mover & Shaker.

Robin A. Crumrin was appointed Dean of Indiana State University’s Cunningham Memorial Library, Terre Haute, effective July 1. She is currently Associate Dean of the Collections and Information Access Group, Indiana University–Purdue University Library, Indianapolis.

Justin de la Cruz is now Manager of the Martin County Library System’s Blake Library, Stuart, FL. He was previously Digital Literacy Librarian, Peter & Julie Cummings Library, Palm City, FL.

Amanda DiFeterici was named Instructional Design and Assessment Consultant at Credo. She was previously a Librarian at South University, Savannah.

Janene Hill was appointed Director of the Jensen Memorial Library, Minden, NE. She was previously a Young Adult Librarian at Grant County Library in Ulysses, KS.

Mary Jo Parker was promoted to Head Librarian at Lake Andes Carnegie Public Library, SD. She had been working part-time for the library for the past three years.

Catherine Steeves was named University Librarian at Western University, London, Ont., effective August 18. She is currently Associate Chief Librarian at the University of Guelph, Ont.

Gail Stokes was named Youth Services Librarian at Cranston Public Library’s Auburn Branch, RI. She previously held the same title at Providence Community Library’s Mount Pleasant Branch.

Charles P. Wapner was named Information Policy Analyst for the American Library Association. He was previously employed in the Office of Representative Ron Barber (AZ-2).
