Weinshall Joins NYPL as COO, Slyman To Direct Brookline, & More Library People News

Leesa Benggio was appointed Acting Director, South Carolina State Library, Columbus. She was previously its Deputy Director.

Robin L. Dale was named Associate Deputy Director for State Programs, Institute of Museum and Library Services. She was previously Senior Director for Digital Services at LYRASIS.

Toby Graham was promoted to University Librarian and Associate Provost, University of Georgia, Athens. He was previously Deputy University Librarian.

Mark Hasskarl was appointed Director, New Milford Public Library, CT. He previously held the same title at Danbury Public Library, CT.

Rosalyn McGarva was named Director, Bandon Public Library, OR, following the retirement of Deirdre Krumper. McGarva previously held the same title at Dallas Public Library.

Lisa Mertel was appointed Head of Adult Services at Geauga West Library, Chesterland, OH. She was previously a Librarian at Shaker Heights Public Library, OH.

Cheryl Morales was named Executive Director, Pinellas Public Library Cooperative, FL. She was previously Territorial Librarian at Feleti Barstow Public Library, American Samoa Library, Pago Pago.

Sara F. Slymon was named Director, Public Library of Brookline, MA, following the retirement of Chuck ­Flaherty . She previously held the same title at Turner Free Library, Randolph, MA.

Rick Stoddard was named Head of User and Research Services at the University of Idaho Library, Moscow. He was previously Assessment Librarian at Oregon State University, Corvallis.

Iris Weinshall was named Chief Operating Officer, New York Public Library. She was previously Vice Chancellor of Facilities Planning, Management, and Construction for the City University of New York.

Todd Williams was appointed Director, Waverly Free Library, NY. He was previously a Teacher at Chemung Valley Montessori School, Big Flats, NY.

Columbia University made the following hires: Elizabeth Call , previously Head of Reference and User Services at the Brooklyn Historical Society, was named Public Services Librarian at the Burke Library; Robb K. Haberman , previously Adjunct Assistant Professor at Fordham University and the College of Staten Island, was named Associate Editor for the John Jay Papers project at the Rare Book and Manuscript Library.
