Depending on the juxtapostion of people, a fart on an escalator could be more vulgar than one on an elevator. Less we forget, the late JD Salinger included a mirthful anecdote about assembly flatulence in Cather in the Rye, which for the past week at least, has been considered an iconic contribution to modern literature.
