that’s me, poor librarian. Won’t be seeing any of you at Midwinter or regular. And as I am pretty much a nobody, no one will pay my conference fees, plane ride (over flyover country!) nor my drinks. :P

You’re having problems with the links? Strange. All the easy-read ones opened for me…and they are PDF files, BTW, just in different font sizes. Not that it matters, since I’m not going to Midwinter. Midwinter is a joke. Everybody knows that that we haven’t made it to the middle of winter until at least early March.

I think people should start running for division wide office on the platform “I will make every group that meets at Midwinter virtual, including those discussion groups”. They’d win by a landslide, and since there would be no content at Midwinter, no one would go. I think that’s the only way to get rid of the pesky conference.

I tried to download just to see what I’ll be missing, since I can’t afford ALA in today’s economy. You’re absolutely right–nothing will download. A fat lot of good that will do people!

AL…come one, you’re better than this. Is ALA really the gift that keeps on giving for you? Please turn your critical acumen to something a little more lively than a dead horse that you’ve beaten over and over again. Can we just declare ALA as RIP and move on? Thanks, AL.
