Brand Challenge: Communicating the New Library to Build New Brand Equity

Thursday November 12, 2015

10:30-11:30 AM: Optional Presentation: The Modernization of Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library
Join Richard Reyes-Gavilan as he presents the most recent designs and building program for the modernization of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. The building, designed by modernist architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, was designated an historic landmark in 2007.  Reyes-Gavilan will discuss how this project is more than an opportunity to renovate a building – it presents a watershed opportunity to transform the city’s library services and, by extension, the lives of District residents.
