Chattanooga has quickly evolving their library services and facilities from 1972-blah to 2013-bling. Corrine Hill and Nate Hill will discuss strategies for technology planning and a revised organizational structure, as well as new staff roles, titles, and skillsets.

This discussion will explore how library directors can stay on the cutting edge through their entire career as well as present strategies for renewal, reinvestment and reinvigoration of your library and yourself.

7:15 PM An Evening with U.S. Poet Laureate Natasha Trethewey Reading followed by a conversation with Rob Casper, Head of the Poetry and Literature Center at the Library of Congress.

Attendees of LJ’s Directors’ Summit will be admitted by advance RSVP only through Library Journal (deadline 11/19) or on the event’s date as standby at the library (must be in person one hour before the program. Tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served, basis).
