BiblioTech, the digital library of Bexar County, TX, recently added VIA Metropolitan Transit, which provides 39.6 million bus trips annual throughout the county, to a growing list of local partners that help patrons discover and access library ebooks and other content.
Since Quintin Jose V. Pastrana founded Library Renewal Partnership (LRP) in 2010, he has helped local Filipino communities open 105 libraries and community education centers. With up to 30 more centers planned for this year, the nonprofit, volunteer-run organization is on track to meet its 2020 goal to open 200 libraries and reach two million people.
An inspirational level of collaboration has been undertaken between San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico. The library didn’t just promote One Book to its core audience of already-active patrons; it reached out with some very unconventional, award-winning marketing.
