Wyoming Opens Trademark Depository Library

By LJ Staff

The Wyoming State Library has opened a Patent and Trademark Depository
Library (PTDL). PTDL is officially sanctioned by the U.S. Patent and Trademark
Office “to make freely available to the public copies of U.S. patents and
trademarks and the tools to search them.” The PTDL’s collection includes
full-text patents from 1790 to present, as well as patent applications published
since March 15, 2001; pending and registered trademarks from 1871; prints and
electronic search tools; U.S. Patent and Trademark Office documents, commercial
publications to assist with the patenting and trademark process, and, of course,
librarian experts available to lend assistance.
