AALL Announces Officers

Claire M. Germain, Edward Cornell Law Librarian and professor of law at Cornell University Law School, has been elected vice-president/president-elect of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL). She will succeed incoming 2004-2005 AALL president Victoria K. Trotta, associate dean for information technology and the Ross-Blakley Law Library at Arizona State University. Germain will assume the presidency at the conclusion of the 2005 AALL Annual Meeting in San Antonio. Joyce Manna Janto, deputy director of the law library at the University of Richmond School of Law, will be the association’s new treasurer. Janto, who has served the association both locally and nationally since 1982, succeeds Anne C. Matthewman in the three-year term. The Association also elected Anne K. Myers, head of technical services at the Pappas Law Library at Boston University, and Kathie J. Sullivan, reference librarian at Downs Rachlin and Martin, PLLC in Burlington, Vermont, to three-year terms as members of the Executive Board. Janto, Myers and Sullivan will assume their positions at the close of the 2004 AALL Annual Meeting in Boston.
