More Fallout on CD Issue: Censorship

There are some more gripes–and solutions–regarding the settlement that has brought CDs to libraries in some 43 states. While libraries in Indiana will be getting more than 120,000 music discs, Attorney General Steve Carter, according to the Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette, Carter put together a team in his office to reject CDs with offensive lyrics–primarily rap CDs. “The problem, of course, is that music and lyrics that offend Carter and his office may not offend other listeners, and vice versa,” the newspaper editorialized.
