Book News: Saroyan International Writing Prize Seeks Nominations

Stanford University Libraries in partnership with the William Saroyan Foundation  is soliciting nominations for the 2008 William Saroyan International Prize for Writing, which “recognizes newly published works of fiction and nonfiction with a $12,500 winner in each category.” Organizers said the prize is designed to encourage new or emerging writers and honor the Saroyan literary legacy of originality, vitality, and stylistic innovation.
