A Touch O'The Irish

In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, thought I’d share this video from Library Ireland. Cute and clever, but wondering about the exclusive focus on books. What do you think?

Maybe the books are just better at being dominoes! They do show use of ebooks and computers…My problem with it was that the words made from falling books weren’t especially clear. Having some text shown on screens did help.

Do libraries in Ireland have as much of a percentage of audiovisual media in their collections as libraries in the U.S.? I don’t really know what their policies might be on AV.

books fall better than other media? Seriously, though, I am glad the focus is on books. it is a subtle way to promote literate behaviors regardless of the format.
