Library People News: Hires, Promotions, Retirements, and Obituaries

Andy Barnett was promoted to Director of McMillan Memorial Library, Wisconsin Rapids, following the retirement of Ron McCabe . Barnett was previously its Assistant Director.

Chris Bourg was named Director of MIT Libraries, Cambridge, MA, effective February 2015. She is currently Associate University Librarian for Public Services at Stanford University, CA.

Dan W. Golden was named Director of the Liverpool Public Library, NY. He was previously Assistant Director of the Onondaga Free Library, Syracuse, NY.

Shannon Halikias was appointed Director at Sugar Grove Public Library, IL. She previously held the same title at Lisle Library District, IL.

Nicole Henline was named Director of Monroeville Public Library, PA. She previously held the same title at the Community Library of the Shenango Valley, Sharon, PA.

Brenda Johnson was promoted to Director of Indiana University Libraries, Bloomington, following Judith Nadler ’s retirement. She was previously Dean of University Libraries.

Ryan Livergood was appointed Executive Director of the Warren-­Newport Public Library District, Gurnee, IL, following Stephen Bero ’s retirement. He was previously Director of the Robbins Library, Arlington, MA.

Daisy Porter-Reynolds was appointed Executive Director of Aurora Public Library, IL. She was previously Deputy Director of Arlington Heights Memorial Library, IL.

Jane Sánchez was named Chief of the Humanities and Social Sciences Division at the Library of Congress. She was previously Director of Library Services and Content Management at the Government Printing Office.

Laura Skandera Trombley was appointed the first female President of the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens, San Marino, CA, effective July 2015. She is currently President of Pitzer College, Claremont, CA.

Derek Wolfgram was named Director of the Redwood City Public Library, CA. He previously served as Deputy County Librarian at Santa Clara County Library District, CA.

Tony Zanders was appointed Vice President of Global Customer Development at EBSCO Information Services. He was previously Director of Marketing and Customer Development for Ex Libris.
