Love Is in the Air

Presented by:  Riptide Publishing, Samhain Publishing & Library Journal

Event Date & Time: Tuesday, May 5th, 2015, 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM ET / 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM PT

According to LJ’s Materials Survey 2015, romance ranks consistently among the top three genre circulators in public libraries, in both print and ebook formats (it’s actually tied with general fiction at No. 2 in ebooks). And by locale, after mystery, romance is tops in suburban and urban libraries.

Contributing mightily to the flood of e-romances are Samhain and Riptide Publishing, sponsors of our May 5th webcast. On Terri Meeker’s Angel of the Somme (Samhain; LJ Xpress Reviews, 3/20/15), reviewer Henry Bankhead wrote, “The horrors of war provide a stark backdrop to Meeker’s tale of essential human emotion and the inexplicable.” And in LJ’s roundup of new LGBT fiction (LJ 4/1/15), Molly McArdle said of Heidi Belleau and Rachel Haimowitz’s The Burnt Toast B&B  (Riptide), “A stuntman (and trans man) with a broken arm finds himself at the cheapest (and worst) B&B in town run by an out-of-work logger. Fires, shall we say, start.”

Join the conversation on this most lustily favored genre and get ready to add some love to your collections.
