Library People News: Hires, Promotions, Retirements, and Obituaries

Kim Kluge was named Youth Services Librarian at Beaver Dam Community Library, WI. She was previously Children’s Programmer at Menomonee Falls Public Library, WI.

Dennis Krieb, Director of Lewis and Clark Community College’s Reid Memorial Library, Godfrey, IL, was named Illinois Academic Librarian of the Year from the Illinois Library Association.

Eric Larson was promoted to VP, Digital Services, at Backstage Library Works. He was previously Digital ­Project Manager.

Marilyn McIntosh, Executive Director of Monroe Free Library, NY, received a Legislative Resolution, presented to her by New York State Senator William J. Larkin Jr.

William J. Rozek was appointed Chief Financial Officer for OCLC. He was previously Chief Financial Officer at the Mars Agency.

Joan M. Serpico was appointed Assistant Professor and Librarian at Rider University’s Moore Library, Lawrenceville, NJ. She was previously Head of Adult Services at Mount Laurel Library, NJ.

The University of Central Florida Libraries, Orlando, made the following hires: David R. Benjamin is Department Head for Special Collections and University Archives; and Chemera Ivory is Business Librarian in Research and Information Services.

The University of North Carolina Library, Chapel Hill, made the following hires: Nick Graham, former Program Coordinator at the North Carolina Digital Heritage Center and Assistant to the Director of Wilson Library, was promoted to University Archivist; Brian Moynihan, former Health Strategy Director for Thrive 4-7, Morrisville, NC, was named Head of Health Information Technology Initiatives at the Health Sciences Library.

Debbie Walsh was named Circulation Manager at the National University of Health Sciences’ Learning Resource Center, Lombard, IL. She was previously Head of Adult and Reader Services at Geneva Public Library, IL.

Kelvin Watson was promoted to Chief Innovation and Technology Officer, Queens Library, Jamaica, NY. He was previously VP of Digital Services and Strategy.
