The 2015 Library Journal Directors’ Summit, Brand Challenge: Communicating the New Library to Build New Brand Equity, will focus on how the evolution of libraries into ever more active hubs of civic engagement, participatory spaces, and more (especially in light of the continued shift from print to digital), can both enlarge and cement their role as key institutions in the community. This intimate two-day think tank brings 100+ library leaders and strategic thinkers from beyond libraries to re-think, re-engage, and re-position their libraries as so much more than “trad” but true book brand.

2014 Directors' SummitDig deep on strategic positioning from library leaders such as DC Public Library’s Richard Reyes-Gavilan; Siobhan Reardon, President and Director of the Free Library of Philadelphia (PA); and Patrick Losinski, Chief Executive Officer, Columbus Metropolitan Library (OH).
